Husqvarna densifiers All Husqvarna densifiers provides a solution capable of increasing the abrasion- and scratch resistance of concrete, while adding basic stain resistance, limiting efflorescence and dustproofing your surface. At the same time increasing the longevity of nearly any concrete surface, from freshly poured to decades-old concrete, and to do all of this in a labor-efficient, costeffective manner. It penetrates deep into the surface and react with calcium hydroxide present in the concrete to form calcium silicate hydrate (CSH), which progressively hydrate to a glass-like crystalline structure. The silica blend improves the density and hardness of concrete and reduces the penetration of liquids and dirt. The Husqvarna densifiers causes no or only slight color enhancement. Water absorption is reduced, the treated surfaces remains diffusion open.
Properties of Husqvarna CURE (L)
Husqvarna CURE (L) is a lithium silicate ideal for dense surfaces or outdoor projects. Compared to any potassium or sodium densifiers, the CURE (L) has a relatively slower reaction time and lower viscosity enabling it to more completely penetrate the floor before reacting and hardening. Also, since lithium silicate is water stable, CURE (L) is less sensitive for moisture and water than potassium and sodium silicates, making it more ideal for outdoor projects where there is risk for freezing.
CURE (L) is best used as densifier and hardener on dense polished concrete between the grinding and honing steps. Also, it is ideal as an additional lipcoat during the sequential resin steps to optimize the effect.
Application
Husqvarna CURE (L) can be used on all calcareous floor coverings, such as grinded/polished and troweled concrete floors, cementitious screeds, terrazzo, terrazzo tiles, etc. Applications are e.g. industrial floors, market halls, logistic centers, supermarkets and in private homes, indoor and outdoor.
Processing
The surface to be treated must be dry and free from impurities. To ascertain the consumption make a separate sample area of the same surface. Apply after 100 grit metal bond diamond pads, i.e. the last metal step before shifting into resin tools. Note: Husqvarna CURE (L) might very well be applied directly after the grouting process to leave everything to harden simultaneously. Use a micro fiber mop to facilitate a homogenous and efficient coverage and treatment. Keep surface moist for 20 minutes and then remove surplus material. Drying time will be around 1-2 hours. If the product is applied between grinding steps, the product should be left to harden for approx. 8 hrs. Any sequential grinding or troweling is normally continued the next day. To optimize the result we also recommend applying an additional thin lip-coat of the densifier in front of the grinder when running the first two sequential resin steps. This will aid in keeping the tools sharp and also filling in the small micropores that the initial rough resin steps might be generating.
